Fourteen

This is it! I'm officially fourteen, another new year as a typical teenager. I have to admit, I was afraid to let go of my 13 year-old self and start trying better things. Last year, I wasn't much thinking about the things I should do, I just do. But now that I am a year older, I promised myself to think of my responsibilities more and to act more mature. I need to grow up and change for the better.

My last day of being thirteen was pretty good. Especially at night when I watched my favorite local teen star, Julia Barretto's debut special (#JustJulia) on Sunday's Best. Time really flies so fast that I didn't realize it was midnight already! Wow. It's my birthday!

Morning came and I was so excited to meet up with my best friends since '11 for my birthday lunch. To be honest, I didn't think of the 30th of March as a 'birth'day but as a 'pig-out' day hahaha. Well, I reserved my pizza cravings for that special day.

A very happy lunch I had with my friends and my family and my pizzas (oops. Pizzas!!!) I haven't seen this barkada for months since I was busy with school so this day was also a mini reunion. Of course we have to plan a simple things that we can all agree to do ... WATCH INSURGENT! Exactly last year (obviously, my 13th birthday), I watched the Divergent movie together with the same friends at the same cinema house and since then, it became our most-awaited movie-book trilogy. I remember that last year, I didn't want to watch an action movie that time because I want to feel relaxed and I get so attached to each scenes that I almost jump in theaters. That was embarrassing though. But I trusted my friends so much and you know what, they were right. It was amazing!

Again, time really flies so fast. It's time for them to leave. I have to stay in the mall for a dinner with the family. My family is really thoughtful. After the dinner, I blew my little blue candle on top of a cute chocolate cake at home. The day was almost over.

After I prepared myself for bed, I decided to wait for midnight and my sisters agreed to stay up with me again. While waiting, I spent time checking my Facebook, Twitter and Instagram account. A lot of people remembered my special day. I was so touched. I didn't expect greetings this many and friends who would be thoughtful enough to share long messages to me. There were a lot of wishes and loads of love. Thank you isn't enough to show how much I appreciate their effort but I should start with the very special 'Thank You!'. These totally made my day.

To everyone who never forgotten me and my special day,
THANK YOU VERY MUCH! Your simple greetings are like the best and huge gifts to me.
I am the luckiest girl ever because I never got unfortunate to have you in my life as friends and as a family already. You guys are the best! Your love is the best! I hope you also enjoyed the day even if you were or weren't actually with me that day. I will never forget this day of welcoming my 14th year.
Love, Ielle
